Get yours now from a Top End Waterfall...
There's nothing like it, 'Nooking' in under a spectacular cascade as some of the world's purest waters rumble ecstatically over you. You have your neck poised, the water hits that perfect spot and from head to toe every muscle is pulsing to natures soothing rhythm.
Sure it sounds like a line out of a day spa brochure, but it'll make you feel a million bucks and best of all - ITS FREE.
Finding a "NOOK"
1. Find a fall that isn't too dangerous or too weak. Anything much taller than a cascade and the water is far too heavy to be safe or comfortable. We've listed a few locations below and you'll have better luck towards the middle of the dry season when most water flows have steadied to a good pace.
2. Choose a fall that you don't have to climb above water level. Its much safer and usually thats where you'll find a rock shelf with good leg room OR a shallow shelf where you can stand.
3. There's less drag under the water, so dive (not too deep!) under to for easy access.
4. Feel out your fall, use your hands and feet to find some 'nooks' that have a good grip. It might take you several minutes to find a comfortable sitting position. Rubber reef walking shoes (the proper ones) are brilliant if you're on a smooth shelf.
5. Wear a brimmed sun hat - look for the ones that have a sagging brim which can protect your eyes and give you nice breathing space.
6. Make sure you apply sunscreen immediately after you get out. Remember also that you should never bring glass bottles to a waterfall or swimming area.
