Wave Lagoon - Make time 2 woohoo!
Embrace your endless summer at Darwin's Wave Lagoon. Part of the Darwin Waterfront Precinct the Wave Lagoon is located at 2 Stokes Hill Road and is open daily between 10am-6pm. Morning session: 10am-2pm, afternoon session: 2pm-6pm, full day session: 10am-6pm. With swells up to 1.7m the kids can enjoy 10 different wave patterns using boogie boards and water tubes. The toddlers can enjoy a shallow zone adjacent to the main Lagoon. Half day entry fees are $3.50 for kids or $5 for adults and a full day family pass is $16. Kids Discovery Centre Museum and Art Gallery of the NT - Darwin
There's something for you and the kids to enjoy at the Museum. Get the kids involved at the Discovery Centre with interactive displays built specifically for them, in the meantime you can go have a cuppa at the Cornucopia Museum Café or have a glance around the Museum!
Window on the Wetlands

When heading out to Kakadu, you'll pass a big blue building on top of a hill just outside of Humpty Doo - Window on the Wetlands. By now the kids will be due for a break and this free facility provides great fun for the kids to interactively learn about the environment in the Top End.
Territory Wildlife Park
- Berry Springs
Any kid is easily satisfied if you take them to this park just 45 minutes out of Darwin. This place gets you up close and personal with all the local animals that are entirely different to what you'd expect at your local zoo back at home. Special events occur during the school holidays such as the Amazing Drumming Monkey's and a new special Wednesday night Dry Season feature is Twilight Night at the Park - so keep an eye out.
The Lakes Resort Water Slide

Leanyer Water & Skate Park - NEW WATER SLIDES!
If the relies live in Darwin, most of them are out in the Northern Suburbs this water and skate park is a kids delight. This is a water based recreation facility for kids in Darwin without nasties like crocs and box jellyfish. There's BBQs and picnic tables, basketball courts, plenty of skateboarding space.
Kids Entertainment at Mount Bundy Station - Adelaide River
Mount Bundy Station offers a range of accommodation for families and school groups. Wildlife, farm animals, fishing, bushwalking, swimming, photography and horse trail rides are just a part of the experience. Only 1 hour from Darwin and 40 minutes to Litchfield National Park, access is available year round.
See crocodiles REAL Close
Enter the world of the awesome Northern Territory Saltwater Crocodile, with some of the largest in captivity on display. You can choose to get up close and personal with a "swim with the Crocs". There's plenty of interactive stuff for the kids who can also get close to the baby Croc action in our Croc Kids bubbles.
Cycling - Top End
Darwin and the surrounding suburbs have fantastic cycling paths for the family to enjoy. Some great spots are around Jingili Water Gardens, Marlow Lagoon and along Nightlcliff Foreshore. Darwin Walking and Bicycle Tours can give the visiting friends and relies a great tour around Darwin that is fun, energetic and provides a great insight of tropical Darwin.
The FUN BUS - Darwin
Operating from February, The Fun Bus, run by the Darwin City Council for children aged between 0 and 5 years, is a mobile playground for children to attend with parents or carers between 9.30am and 11.30am Mondays to Fridays. A Wet season program operates from the Malak Community Centre.
